Clinical Supervision

Introduction to
Supervision
Counselling

We believe that having a dedicated space to reflect on your work is crucial for both your professional growth and personal well-being. We are passionate about supporting our supervisees, just as we are committed to helping clients make sense of their lives and reach their potential. Our supervision counselling services are designed to enhance your client work by fostering ethical, effective, and reflective practices.

Our Supervision Counselling Approach

Our supervision approach is deeply relational, as we understand that the quality of the relationship between supervisor and supervisee is fundamental to effective practice. By offering a supportive and collaborative environment, we encourage you to explore all aspects of your client work with curiosity and openness. We strive to provide what we value most in supervision: trust, respect, collaboration, emotional support, reflection, and the sharing of knowledge and ideas.

Our training is rooted in the British Psychological Society (BPS) Supervision Skills framework, equipping us with the tools to enhance the quality of your client work. We utilise a variety of supervision models and frameworks, with a particular emphasis on the relational Seven Eyed Supervision Model (Hawkins and Shohet, 1985). This model allows us to explore the complex dynamics between the client, therapist, and supervisor, as well as the broader systemic influences.

Our Approach

We offer supervision services for professionals working in various settings, including:

  • Medical environments
  • Perinatal mental health
  • Trauma-focused practices
  • Large organisations and charities

Our supervision covers the following key areas:

  • Enhancing ethical, effective, and reflective practice
  • Exploring client-therapist relationships and interventions
  • Addressing the therapist’s process and the supervisor’s role
  • Understanding the wider context of the client-therapist-supervisor relationship
